An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, suitably experienced professional to join our progressive Health, Care and Sport team. We are seeking to further strengthen this area with a strong and enthusiastic individual who can support key skills development as well as grow and accelerated our work placement opportunities.

The successful candidate will be confident, charismatic and an exemplary communicator. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to assist students in their development of key industry related skills along with the sourcing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating of work placements. Coaches in this role are responsible for student achievement against planned placement hours and as a result, the successful candidate must be able to confidently speak to a range of employers across the sector to develop opportunities for these to be carried out. The successful applicant will possess the ability to support students to achieve their career goals, with high expectations, that enthuse and inspire learners to achieve the best possible outcomes in preparation for their next steps. They will also be required to oversee sessions looking at fundamental employability and customer service skills, vital for the students in Digital, Creative and Commercial disciplines.

This post offers the successful candidate will be primarily based out of our Ashington Campus however, on occasion, will be required to travel to, and work from our site in Berwick.

Applicants will have industry experience, preferably in a related discipline, and could be new to Further Education or have a proven track record in the sector.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in their personal statement, giving practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.

Due to the nature of this post you will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
