On behalf of Rolls Royce, AMS are looking for over 20x Skilled Fitter positions to cover initial a 12-month contract based at their Derby site. The Fitter will be working on a 3-shift pattern Monday to Friday of morning, afternoons and nights.
Purpose of the Skilled Fitter Role:
- Fitting, instrumentation and/or modules using the direction of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- The Skilled Fitter will raise non-conformance issues.
- Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
- Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
- Ensuring Health & safety is kept to a high standard, at all times
- Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.
What we require from the candidate:
- It is essential that candidates possess a recognised Time-served apprenticeship within an engineering discipline AND either a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and can produce the certificates of BOTH required qualifications.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality.
- Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate relevant fitting experience of engine components.
- Knowledge of lean principles and process basics.
