Ski Lodge – Office Assistant
We are looking for a full time Office Assistant to join our Ski and Skywalk Adventure team.
Sandown Ski and Skywalk Adventure are two exciting outdoor activities based at Sandown Sports in the heart of Esher, Surrey, just off the A3 with good rail and bus routes.
Our Ski Centre has been here for over 50 years providing high level ski tuition, beginner lessons and course and children’s birthday parties. It is a well-known and loved centre in the local community and we take pride in the relationships we make with our clients.
Also on site, Skywalk Adventure is nearing its 5th birthday, and is a high ropes course in the trees above the ski slopes. A growing business, with exciting opportunities including other sites and events, it is a fast becoming a popular attraction!
Our office is located right next to the ski slopes and Sports Centre, and boasts amazing views across Sandown Park racecourse and across into London. With an on-site bar, gym, squash courts and fitness studios it is a great place to work for all.
Job Summary
Your role will include customer service on email, telephone and at reception so good communication skills are essential. You will also be required to get customers ready for their activities, for both Skiing and Skywalk, full training will be provided. You will also be expected to help lead the teams on busy days and ensure the smooth running of the centre with focus on customer enjoyment and safety. We also host events several times a year, which the whole team collectively plan and execute.
This is a full time role, 42.5 hours a week. We are open 7 days a week so this will include weekends and evenings. The job role is office based on site at Sandown Sports.
Responsibilities and Duties
The core responsibility of the position is handling all aspects of customer service, before, during and after their booking, to ensure our customers have a wonderful experience with us. You will also be responsible for opening / closing the centre, handling customer details and transactions, and general day to day presentation of the centre. We also look after two social media accounts, so occasional posts on these accounts would be expected – content and guidelines will be provided.
First Aid training is essential but can be provided. We will also be required to complete a DBS Enhanced certificate.
You will be working closely with management on a day to day basis and other members of the team weekly. We expect the successful candidate to be able to confidently lead a small team during peak times, optimising staff and customer relationships.
