Formed in 2003, City Gate Construction (CGC) specialises in construction, refurbishment, fabrication, mechanical and electrical services, new build housing, bespoke joinery, maintenance, and regeneration.
With its Head Office in Linwood, CGC employs more than 225 people, with six UK offices, most recently opening premises in Birmingham. Providing a bespoke service across a range of industries, CGC continues to secure major contracts from housing associations, exclusive private developers, and local authorities.
We are currently seeking a Regional Site Supervisor to join our team and oversee maintenance and refurbishment jobs in the Renfrewshire area. This is a contract position with a duration of approximately 8 weeks, with the potential to extend based on workload.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple refurbishment projects simultaneously within the Renfrewshire area.
- Ensure projects are executed efficiently, meeting deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved in various aspects of the projects.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and provide guidance as needed.
- Maintain effective communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly reports to clients and operations managers, providing updates on site activities, progress, and any challenges encountered.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure efficient resource allocation and smooth project execution.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project, implementing appropriate solutions.
Requirements:
- Background in joinery or a related trade is essential.
- Proven experience in overseeing multiple small projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent leadership and management abilities to coordinate subcontractors and project teams.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce detailed reports.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Renfrewshire area as required.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and deadlines.
