This role will be predominately operational, focused on improving & supporting SRE operations. Focus will centre on operational readiness, resiliency & quality standards. Key Qualifications
- 2 years of experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and Continuous Delivery platforms like Spinnaker.
- 2 Experience and proficiency in event-based and log-based monitoring systems, deployment tools, Unix and AWS.
- Excellent code-debugging/optimization, analytical problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Interest in designing, analyzing and solving problems large-scale distributed systems.
- Fast learner who is generous with their knowledge.
- Self-directed, demonstrates leadership skills, and a phenomenal teammate.
- Operational experience with supporting large scale Banking or Payments systems, is a plus.
Description
This position forms part of a team operating global services, handling the requests of hundreds of millions of Apple customers. This kind of scale presents unique challenges. SRE teams at Apple support the full infrastructure stack, from individual API performance to network traffic management. Responsibilities will be both broad and deep. SRE teams are the backbone of Apple’s payment services including Apple Pay. Good ideas are heard, and results are rewarded. Education & Experience
