Position: IT System Technician
Outstanding opportunity to join our small but talented IT team providing end user computer support and business systems support for a family-owned, mid-size (and rapidly growing) seafood distribution and retail company.
Your job duties include a wide variety of installation, administration, and support tasks including:
- End user Desktop Support
- Office 365 troubleshooting
- Application Support
- Managing on-site systems and Escalating issues to Tier 2 Administrators
- Responding to and resolving end user IT support requests and assigned project tasks using Autotask ticketing system.
- Updating and or creating documentation
- Setting up new user desktops and laptops with the necessary business applications
- Configuring and troubleshooting hardware
- Interacting with non-technical business users to solve their technical AND business challenges related to their computer systems.
- Windows Administration
- Warehouse Equipment management and troubleshooting. This includes Handheld computers, and Label Printers
Qualifications
This is a challenging position that requires the ability to analyze, prioritize, and resolve IT issues. The ability to multitask is a must. You must be able to work on everything from simple end-user issues to complex issues affecting multiple systems.

- Ability to work weekends onsite, or as part of remote weekend helpdesk on call rotation.
- Customer service oriented, ability to handle issues and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Motivation to grow professionally and take on new challenges.
- Organizational skills; oral and written communication skills. Let's be clear what this means - you need to be able to be comfortable speaking with end users via email, phone, chat, video or in person confidently. You also need to be able to speak accurately about technological issues. This is absolutely required.
- Hands-on experience working with Active Directory environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise cloud based RMM tools.
- Hands-on experience managing requests using cloud-based ticketing systems. (Autotask experience is a plus)
- Hands-on experience working in a Windows based environment troubleshooting issues with end users (experience with "Home/Consumer" versions does NOT qualify)
- Office365 Application Suite Experience (OneDrive/PowerBI/MFA Setup)
- Hands on experience working with printers and copiers.
- Comfortable working in cold wet environment as some tasks may require you wear adequate PPE and troubleshoot issue on the production floor.
- You need to know how to politely admit when you don't know something and tell someone that you need to ask the rest of your team for help. We're not looking for an IT "star" who thinks he/she can solve all the problems, but instead we want someone that can admit when they need assistance and leverage our stellar team and tools.
- Ability to work without any supervision. You will be given a lot of flexibility which can be both exciting and overwhelming. We're looking for someone who can exercise discretion, independent judgment, and prioritize work as needed.
- Attention to detail and ability to take notes when discussing issues or when training on new processes or technologies.
- Able to follow instructions (including in this job posting).
- Able to clearly document work performed and communicate clearly.
- Experiencing managing conferencing applications

Nice-to-Have (we really hope to find someone that also has some of these qualifications, please highlight these skills in your resume or cover letter if applicable):
- Hands-on experience working with ERP in food service, distribution, or retail environments. Experience with Canopy (ERP software by Aspen Systems) is a big plus.
- Hands-on experience Industrial Smart Devices. Bizerba Experience is a Plus
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Familiarity with Wireless RF Technologies and Warehouse Systems Hardware.
