Location: Hybrid, Manchester Portland Street (3 days) Remote (2 days)

Role Purpose:
The Site Reliability Engineer role is key to implementing our technology strategy. Helping develop our tech environment management, CI efficiency, and security practices.
The successful candidate will work on our tech infrastructure, environments, CI/CD, incidents and will be a champion of DevOps culture and SRE principles.
The ideal candidate will have an experienced set of Cloud Ops skills, be adept with CI/CD tools and techniques, experienced at dealing with BAU incidents, and will have a knowledge of implementing information security standards into cloud Infrastructure.
The role will assist with our releases, and help improve and evolve our Software Development Lifecycle, in particular automating as much as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and continuously improve production systems to ensure they are robust and reliable
- Development of automation to assist the team internally or wider team members in the SDLC.
- Monitor logs and systems to spot potential issues and weaknesses, or failures
- Maintain and provision our infrastructure using code first principles and IaC.
- Maintain lower environments, keep them synchronised across different systems.
- Continually develop and evolve our CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy releases, working and planning with relevant stakeholders
- Work on incidents in conjunction with team members and coordinating with wider stakeholders
- Collaborating with the Development and QA teams as part of a DevOps culture to ensure the smooth continuous flow of work as part of the SDLC.
