Greendale Construction Limited is a leading Chartered Building Company offering a comprehensive service, successfully delivering a wide range of projects across all sectors within the Dorset/Hampshire/Wiltshire conurbation. We undertake new build and refurbishment works for our clients by traditional, design & build and partnering procurement methods. Project values range from £100,000 to £10,000,000.

ABOUT THE JOB

Predominantly based in the Hampshire area, the Site Manager will be responsible for all projects assigned to them. In a typical week they will:

  • Manage the day to day running of a construction site
  • Manage Health, Safety and Environment matters on site
  • Manage Greendale direct labour
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Order/call off materials
  • Liaise with Greendale Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor
  • Liaise with Client team
  • Carry out short term programming
  • Prepare and manage RFIs and CSIs
  • Site document management
  • Manage Temporary Works on site
  • Manage and ensure high quality build and finish
  • Work with Greendale’s IT systems

Across all our projects, the goal is to deliver on time, to profit and with zero snags.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will –

  • Have a proven track record for delivering projects on time, to cost and meeting quality criteria.
  • Have significant experience at senior site management level.
  • Have excellent building knowledge, planning and organisational skills
  • Have extensive experience in dealing with client’s, professional teams, subcontractors and a directly employed workforce.
  • Experienced in working in live environments, such as schools and hospitals.
  • Be dynamic, innovative and able to work on one’s own initiative.
  • A strong communicator and team player that can demonstrate excellent motivational and communication skills.
  • CIOB / HND Construction related qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of SCOLA Reclad projects would be of benefit but is not essential.
  • Be IT competent.
