Site CDM Manager -£600 per day - Inside IR35- Hertfordshire - onsite - 12 months (extension highly likely) - one stage virtual interview - Sector: Green Technology
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a site CDM Manager to work with a cutting edge green technology and manufacturing client pushing the boundaries of green energy and renewability technology.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the day to day running of site producing the cutting-edge technology. Liaising and managing contractors as well as the supervision of all trades on site
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all site-based queries and activities related to the project and be the "face" of the project for all day-to-day site engagements.
- Drive improvements in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) performance.
- Support and advise the Project Team in the co-ordination, implementation and development of safety systems and procedures (audits/reviews etc.)
- Ensure control measures are implemented and met to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, and that site specific requirements are also satisfied.
- Monitor and update the EHS Tracking System with Lessons Learnt, Near Miss Reports etc.
- To arrange or conduct as required site inspections, audits and safety tours.
- Supervise site activities ensuring that potential change is pro-actively identified and controlled.
- Manage and control the safe installation of equipment on site including the supervision and safe management of on-site contractors.
- Assist troubleshooting during installation and start-up, ensuring a smooth hand over to operations.
Core Skills:
- 10-15 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience working within an engineering and manufacturing environment.
- Significant experience working and supervising site activities under CDM 2015 Regulations (including experience of working at brownfield sites)
- Understanding of typical engineering and construction disciplines (Civils; Structural; Architectural; Mechanical; Electrical; Instrumentation) to enable their supervision.
- Conversant with Hazard Studies and Risk Assessments.
Desirable Skills:
- IOSH Managing Safety qualification (or equivalent)
- Construction Skills CITB 'Site Management Safety Training Scheme' certificate (or equivalent).
