WMS Ltd are a property maintenance & construction company based throughout the Southwest with offices in Bideford, Yeovil, Redruth and Chudleigh. We deliver projects for both Public and Private sectors throughout the southwest of England.
We are seeking to appoint a Site Manager to work with our Yeovil team on a large refurbishment project in Wellington. The project is an Internal and external refurbishment including new build extension.
The role will be on a temporary contract or free-lance basis for the duration of the contract period, programmed at 9 months. We would like to appoint the candidate mid-august, project to start September. On success of the role filled, a permanent position could be offered to move on to other projects of this scale.
The role is to include the following:
- Assist the contracts manager in day-to-day management of works
- Ensure high level of Health & Safety adherence on-site
- Supervise and manage operatives on-site
- Manage sub-contractors and directly employed staff
- To liaise with other contracts staff to organise labour and materials
- To assist, with regular team talks
- Liaising with client representatives
- Conduct site inspections and compile written reports
The applicant will be required to have a trade qualification/and or significant hands-on experience, an SMSTS certificate and experience managing refurbishment projects. A DBS check will be carried out upon appointment.
Expected target annual salary, dependant on experience = £40 – 50k
