We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to be based at our site in Bristol
Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Bath, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Worcester, Stroud, Stonehouse, Cirencester, Salisbury, Bath, Chippenham and the surrounding areas.
The role of Site Manager is a role you will be required to work Monday - Friday but with flexibility should a business need arise.

Role Responsibility
The Site Manager will work within the civil engineering team. We are looking to hear from candidates who have worked in a similar industry and have previous experience of working on Civil Engineering projects. You may have worked under such titles as a Site Agent, a Construction Manager or Building Manager to name a few.
On a day to day basis, the successful Site Manager's responsibilities will include (not exhaustive) the following:
Promoting and leading the site safety culture; ensuring that all works are carried out in a planned, controlled and safe manner
Complying with all HSQE systems; implementing these on site
Managing and measuring on site productivity and performance
Managing procurement and performance of sub-contractors
Ensuring that works' activities are carried out efficiently
Maintaining and developing customer relationships
Optimising targeted financial contribution for the scheme
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant in the role of Site Manager will have an Engineering background with experience of Highways/Road Construction projects.
We are looking to hear from candidates who are in receipt of the following:
ESSENTIAL - A good understanding of current methods and up to date knowledge of specifications and contract principles, including the Specification of Highway Works
ESSENTIAL - Demonstrable personal and organisational skills
DESIRABLE - High level Commercial acumen
DESIRABLE - Proven communication and IT skills
DESIRABLE - Self-motivation and be able to prioritise and manage workload
Education/Certification Requirements:
DESIRABLE - Preferably a further education qualification e.g. Degree or HND/HNC (ideally relatable to Civil Engineering)
DESIRABLE - CSCS qualification
DESIRABLE - SMSTS
DESIRABLE - First Aid at work
