Site Manager Job Description.

The Company.

A well-established and respected, client-focused, forward-thinking multi-disciplinary family construction and maintenance company, with offices in the City of London & Birmingham we are looking for an experienced and driven Site Manager based in the Midlands to run sites across the Midlands down to London, supporting the business with its growth plans.

The Role.

The Site Manager will a team player with a proven track record in successfully delivering construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects ranging from £100K through to £2m plus.

You will have site autonomy with responsibility, be well organised, have effective time management skills, work on your own initiative and able to setup and orchestrate all site operations, including logistics, sub-contractors, statutory and company processes and health and safety.

You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office software packages (Excel, Word, Project, Power Point etc). Understand architectural and technical drawings. Able to chair and minute client and sub-contractor progress meetings. Accurately report back to your Contracts Manager and Senior Management on the status and progress of your projects, identifying and negating any potential issues or risks before they develop.

You would ideally hold the following qualifications/certifications/licenses.

  • HNC/HND or NVQ in Construction Management.
  • CITB SMSTS Qualification.
  • CSCS Managers card.
  • First Aid training certificate.
  • Preferable, but not essential hold, or working towards Membership of The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
  • Clean valid UK driving licence.

You will operate from and with the assistance of the Midlands office team. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 08:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs, with any additional hours as required by the life cycle of the project and client operational needs from time to time.
