Responsibilities
As Construction Site Supervisor, you’ll be working within the construction team, supporting them in delivering a wide range of local authority civil engineering schemes for Kier on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing and administering the construction works in accordance with the contract, assisting with the implementation of the duties of the Principle Contractor under CDM, including the implementation and ongoing compliance of the construction phase including inductions, and site rules
- Inspect quality of work in accordance the inspection test plan, scheme designs and the specification, checking and documenting all PUWER and LOLER items, making sure welfare is adequate and fit for purpose, spill kits are present etc.
- Assisting with the implementation and ongoing compliance of all relevant risk assessments (to cover every task on site), method statements, safe systems of work and point of work risk assessment / daily brief documents
- Issuing various permits for activities such as hot works and digging for various contractors in accordance with Kier processes and safe digging procedure ensuring temporary works are installed in accordance with the approved design details.
- Monitoring and recording of progress on site and communicating any issues to the relevant site managers regarding of programme and change control in accordance with the terms of the contract, communicating changes either commercial or operational to all relevant parties, confirming they are signed off and briefed to the site team in line with the change control procedure
Who are we looking for?
This role of Construction Site Supervisor is great for you if you can:
- Hold SSSTS (CITB Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Trainings Scheme), NRSWA Supervisor and Temporary Works Supervisor
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of 12D Lantra Traffic Management
- Understand and implement Construction (Design Management) CDM regulations with Good civils, resurfacing and structures experience
