Job Location:
Based in our HQ office in Bollington, Cheshire, UK, however, we offer great flexibility and hybrid working.

Whilst virtual client engagement and execution of research has been virtual since 2020, we do expect travel to be part of this role in the future.

The role:
Our Senior Research Executives play a pivotal role in our team, critical to our ability as a business to deliver successfully for our clients.


In this role, you ensure the day-to-day requirements of implementing great research are being delivered with highest quality. The role is fast paced and varied. A typical day may involve client interaction to discuss questionnaire or discussion guide design; liaising with fieldwork partners to oversee recruitment or fieldwork progress; storylining and visualising a client presentation following a dynamic SPARK session; or immersing in data analysis.


The Person:
Whilst you may have more experience in either quantitative or qualitative research, the role will require the individual to work across research methodologies to deliver integrated insights (with appropriate senior support and methodology guidance). Our SREs need to have an understanding of market research techniques and be comfortable and confident at working across multiple projects at any one time. Having a desire to deepen learning around a given research approach is highly welcome and we support training opportunities to help facilitate this.

Role requirements:
Working under the guidance of a Research Director or Research Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of standard qualitative and/or quantitative studies, or work as part of a bigger team on our more complex or multi-phase, research assignments.

  • You will have direct contact with clients and be expected to:
  • Liaise directly on project management and respond to Client queries that arise
  • Contribute to design discussions and prepare Client-friendly materials to meet project objectives
  • Prepare for and engage with the client team around virtual or in-person central location days
  • Attend presentations and support your project lead with delivering research learnings and recommendations, gathering more and more ownership of these stages as you progress to Research Manager level
  • Independently group and organise findings in a meaningful way to explain the results and craft an initial story
  • You will play a key role at the project level in terms of compliance and adverse event reporting:
  • Ensure that compliance and AE reporting requirements are 100% met on every one of your project assignments
  • Manage project timeline and external costs to ensure we deliver on time and to budget, escalating any concerns in a timely manner to the project lead
  • You will be a positive role model and help in the development coaching and mentoring of junior staff (Research Executives and Graduate Trainees)

  • Evidence of exposure to all aspects of the market research processes from set up through to presentation; including involvement in guide/questionnaire design, project management, analysis and compilation of presentations based on client objectives.

  • And most importantly, passion for what you do and a personal desire to progress


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree level qualified (2:1 as a minimum) is essential in a relevant area (e,g, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Psychology or languages)
  • Either MRS certificate qualified (or equivalent), or willingness to gain certification under Adelphi Research sponsorship
  • Must have 3+ years previous experience working within an agency or Client environment within the pharmaceutical/ healthcare research sector.

The role will attract a higher salary if you are already an experienced SRE who can bring additional skills to our team, such as fluency in a relevant foreign language, experience of more advanced research technique (e.g. quantitative segmentation, conjoint experience or qualitative projective techniques), or deep therapeutic area knowledge and understanding.
