An exciting opportunity to join the Procurement and Supplies team as a Site Logistics Manager has arisen!
- To act as the logistics lead for defined locations, deputising for the Head of Supply Chain as required or requested.
- To manage and develop the operational and strategic management of the Logistics Team at the nominated sites.
- To manage and develop competent, committed teams at the nominated sites capable of translating customer needs into delivered goods and services.
- To act as an internal “expert” for Logistics Issues at the nominated sites, supporting the Head of Supply ChainOptimise the management of stock at the site locations responsible for, seeking to minimise local stock holding but without risking patient care. Manage team performance against agreed targets.Oversee the forecasting of stock held at a site level to account for seasonality of demand.
- To act as a Business Continuity Champion for Procurement, participating in business continuity and emergency planning.
- Manage Logistics operations across your nominated sites. Work with the other Site Logistics Manager to roll out a consistent materials management approach to those departments in scope. Optimise the replenishment processes to ensure that a safe, quick and efficient service is provided to meet the needs of internal customers.
- Manage the local sites to ensure stock levels are effectively managed to ensure a balance between minimising stocks whilst ensuring sufficient stock coverage.
- Manage the Receipt & Distribution and Material Management team at the nominated sites, working closely with the central stores to minimize any replenishment issues.
- Ensure the site team is well trained and has the resources to maintain an efficient replenishment process and cost-effective stock levels.

- Contribute to capital plans associated with warehousing, storage and materials handling equipment. Prepare on an annual basis long term capital replacement / new plans and submit for consideration in budgeting cycle.
- To manage the physical supply chain workflows from receipting, storage, picking and the replenishment of medical and non-medical supplies in accordance with agreed service level requirements and financial constraints.
- Report on absenteeism, authorise holidays and ensure the well-being and work-life balance of all site Logistics Team staff.
- To assist in the development and implementation of new systems, processes and procedures.
