REX Civil Engineering (REX) provides professional Engineering services to construction projects in the United Kingdom. We employ a range of functions from newly qualified Site Engineers to highly experienced Project Managers and provide an encouraging environment for our staff with a strong support network for day to day guidance and development.
What we are Looking for:
REX are looking for Site Civil Engineers of all levels to join our growing company. The applicants level of experience will be assessed through Interview and we will determine which level and project is suitable for the successful candidates. We are looking for individuals who are prepared to travel and be seconded to projects in various locations within the UK.
Positions available for:
- individuals with minimal experience who are open to training and guidance and are to prepared to grow with the company.
- Experienced Engineers who are looking to join a growing company offering a range of opportunities across the UK
Role and Responsibilities (dependent on level, with training to progress to):
- Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control
- Resolving and/or reporting technical problems/design issues
- Coordinate & carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan
-The production of survey information and red-line drawings for the completion of the As-built records
- Ensuring activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan
- Accurate maintenance of Quality records progressive with the works
- Ensure survey equipment is calibrated, in date and in a serviceable condition
- Ensure personal & site diaries are accurately maintained
- Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate agreed procedures
- Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship
- Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties
- Close liaison with the Site Foreman and Works Managers
- Ensure that only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used
- Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations, current working practice, contract specification or project requirements
- Assist the Site Management team to update KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports
Qualifications and experience:
> Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
> Experience to be assessed on individual basis and position offered to reflect
> CSCS Card
> Understanding of typical construction methodologies
> Familiar with use of Survey and setting out equipment
