Sister-Surgical Pre Assessment
We have an exciting opportunity in our Pre Assessment Department for an individual to undertake the role of Sister within this busy area. This is to support the Matron in delivering the Business case to modernise and improve our busy DGH surgical pre-assessment service to meet the demands and restoration of services post Covid.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Nurse withsignificant previous experience within Pre Assessment.The candidate must be able to demonstrate that they possess an excellent knowledge in pre-operative care with exceptional leadership skills that allows them to display highly effective multi-disciplinary ways of working.
The candidate will work in autonomy and as a member of the multi professional team, maintaining effective, compassionate communication with patients, their relatives and staff of all levels. They must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
You will need evidence of continued professional development and achievements in previous posts.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership to staff and working with the matron , medical staff and other allied health professionals will be responsible for the effective management and co-ordination of activity throughout the pre-assessment clinic ensuring that patients and their relatives/ carers receive appropriate pre-operative care and support.
The post holder will work with the matron to maintain an effective nursing team by providing leadership, expert professional and clinical nursing advice. The post holder will provide support to colleagues, patients and relatives and will ensure the highest possible standards of care provided
