Job description
We are looking for a Photography Studio Assistant/Receptionist to support our fast-growing company. Ideally, we require support staff with relevant experience in customer service and/or working within the photography industry. Training is provided throughout the job, and our team is always on hand to support you.
As a fast-scaling business, the right candidate will need to be dedicated, familiar with technical terms and able to support our small team and help us grow our business. If you’re a people person who thrives in the creative space and has a willingness to learn then this is the job for you.
Main tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Core duties
- Prepping the studio/s ready for client arrival
- Greeting clients and running through the basics of the studios
- Set up and take down of studio/lighting setup
- General studio upkeep and tidy up
- Ad-hoc tasks around our studios and location spaces
- Email and phone enquiries (potentially in future)
Other duties
- Collaborate with the creative director to produce marketing material including print, web and video content
- Social media management
- Assists with operations and business management tasks
Job Requirements:
- Must have experience in photography/videography or customer service
- Ideally work experience in a sales and customer service role
- Ideally have experience working in a photography studio / for a studio hire or space hire Company but not essential
- Passion for providing the highest level of customer service to new, and existing clients
- Must be detail oriented, diligent and very well organised
- Professional demeanour with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload, multi-task using effective time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment
- Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and work calmly under pressure
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts sometimes evenings and weekends as required to oversee bookings
