About the role
This Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for creating insight driven Shopper Marketing Strategies across our categories and brands in the GB market. This role will lead the development of innovative shopper centric assets and toolkits that can be executed across our customer base to drive category and brand market share growth.
You will use relevant and breakthrough shopper insight to develop and implement high-impact, differentiated, multi-channel shopper plans aligned to category, brand and retailer strategies. It will be your responsibility to work with the CBIA team on driving further shopper research and insight to further optimise our current assets and how we connect and disrupt our shoppers. You will be the shopper voice whilst leading the strategy through the annual commercial planning process and ensure we have executable omnichannel plans and toolkits. You will work closely with global and BU teams where relevant to drive the GB shopper agenda and ensure tools are localised and fully optimised to drive business growth. It will also be expected that you will influence the global category team to deliver relevant shopper assets that accelerate growth in the GB market. You will lead the shopper objectives and provide a CEJ touchpoint strategy that can be easily be targeted and evaluated by the customer marketing team post activation. You will work closely with design and media agencies to develop bespoke toolkits that you will then deploy to the customer marketing team to execute. You will also lead the creation of above category shopper initiatives and projects linked to driving our business social impact via our Haleon health inclusivity and sustainability platforms.
Importantly, you will be responsible for leading the commercial budget management across your assigned portfolio and will drive shopper activation reviews to ensure we are maximising our ROI and driving business performance.
Key responsibilities
- Leading creative development of insight driven shopper marketing strategies that can be executed across the omnichannel landscape
- Developing creative campaigns and toolkits that help drive our Haleon social impact agenda, such as our annual NHS Charities Together partnership, Health inclusivity and sustainability platforms.
- Lead management of shopper marketing spend across brands, to deliver brand sales, share, profit and gm% at least to plan. Ensure ROI is maximised
- To take the global shopper toolkits and deploy to maximum effect within GB creating high impact brand presence in the relevant shopper touchpoints
- Working with insights/Shopper Science Lab, conduct shopper/category/retailer research on key shopper campaigns as required
- Create influential relationships with our key media and design agencies to ensure we are optimising asset creation that will disrupt, inspire and engage our shopper audience.
- Bring strong GB local insight into competitor activity plus retailer, category and shopper needs to the area shopper manager to ensure global and area toolkits are maximized in their effectiveness for the GB market
- Delivery of the annual commercial planning process to ensure the shopper voice is at the heart of the brand and customer plans.
- Set targets and objectives for brand activation campaigns. Evaluate shopper/retailer activation to ensure we are spending money efficiently/continually improving and delivering ROI to the business
Qualifications and skills
Essential
Experienced with creating and and partnering with external creative and media agencies
Strong Project Management and cross-functional working abilities
Sound Data analysis and commercial understanding
Preferred
Marketing or Shopper Marketing experience across full mix including creating and deploying successful campaigns and toolkits and leading shopper marketing strategies across FMCG businesses.
