Oakwood Carpets and Flooring is looking for a Part time Shop Assistant to join our team in Derby.
Job Summary:
Here at Oakwood Carpets and Flooring we are looking for someone to cover part time, for selected days in the shop. You will be responsible for ensuring that the shop operates smoothly and efficiently. We ask that you must be approachable, organised and help to assist in the pricing and ordering of the goods and materials to be fitted.
Essential Duties:
- Speaking to customers and working out prices based on their Sizes.
- Helping to ensure the day to day running of the business
- Dealing with Customers face to face and Taking/ Placing Orders.
- Covering Days if possible due to vacations.
- Assist the Business with daily shop operations.
- Ensure all orders are received, processed and shipped on time.
- Ensure customers orders are accurately billed and invoiced.
- Taking receiving phone calls to assist customers and fitters.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have some experience in retail operations, including experience working in a flooring or retail setting, good communication skills, strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail. Candidates must be good with customers and have the ability to work prices out on the spot. Candidates must be approachable and be able to pass a background check with no felony convictions.
