We are looking for an Operations Shift Operations Manager to join the team at the Hull Blade Factory, United Kingdom. This position involves working a 2/3 shifts on followed by 2/3 shifts off and includes working both nights and weekends on a rotational basis
As a Shift Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the group leads and the production operatives and also ensure appropriate health, safety and environmental arrangements are in place to support delivery of a strong HSE management framework and positive culture.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
  • Responsible for delivery of SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People) and that key KPI targets are achieved across the facility whilst on shift
  • Leading and supervising the Area Group Leads to ensure the correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions
  • Overall emergency response responsibility for initial escalation and coordination in line with the site emergency response plan and crisis management documents
  • Overseeing and drives optimum utilization of resources – people, plant, and materials
  • Ensuring manufacturing and quality guidelines, processes, and procedures are followed to ensure safe delivery of a high-quality product on time every time across the facility
  • Leading and supervises assigned Group Leaders across a wide area of disciplines
  • Responsible for performance management across the team and in particular, managing other managers
  • Delivering clear, concise, and effective communications to the operational teams
  • Delivering the business strategy with a consistent approach and in line with the Company mission and values
What you need to make a difference

  • Demonstrable Leadership experience as shift manager preferably from wind industry and/or a manufacturing/production background
  • A strong communicator who is willing to undertake assignments and work Individually
  • Good decision-making skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and commitment to deliver to a high standard
  • Understanding of customer needs
  • Innovative approach to problem solving
  • Prior experience performing LEAN activities is preferred
  • Have safety training qualifications such as NEEBOSH would be an added advantage
