Shift Supervisor/Manager - Night Shift
Creating our gravies, sauces and other products, you will be a key component in a business that has been in Wetherby since 1958. You will work to strict food safety and quality standards, and ensuring achievement of daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations.
You will have overall responsibility for the activities on night shift, leading a team of processing, packing, logistics, hygiene and engineering staff.
Our site is open 24/7 and you will work a panama (7 days in 14) permanent nights shift pattern, starting work at 1800 and finishing at 0600.
You will be responsible for the following:
· Shift handovers
· Holding and conducting investigations
· Internal corrective actions ensuring they are followed through
· Production data entry
· Production and schedule variances
· Allocation of labour resource during the shift
· Performance Measurement and Generation of KPI data
· Understand all HACCP principles and respects and manages CCP procedures.
· To maintain staff discipline and maintain records of incidents as appropriate, involving HR when necessary
· Recognise training levels, ability and competencies within their team and ensures the correct skills are used in the correct place
· Resolves stoppages or deviations from standard (or escalate as appropriate) using defined procedures or by selecting from a range of known solutions based on training and/or experience
· Suggests and implements improvements
· Maintain a safe working environment and assist in the building of a positive and successful health and safety culture
· Ensure audit ready status of all areas in terms of hygiene housekeeping and adherence to GMP principles
· Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily
· Strong people management Skills
· Experience in coaching for performance
