Shift Manager
Are you someone who loves being on the shopfloor? Someone who can oversee a process and knows just where to tweak it to get the best out of shift performance?
If so we are currently looking to speak an individual, just like you to join our clients team as a Shift Manager for a leading packaging business.
A big name in the package space, a renowned name in the packaging industry too, known for delivering high end packaging solutions to a range of industries.
Working out of their Northamptonshire based site. They have a great leadership team onsite who had delivered continually growth and offer a solid commercial offering to their customers & clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of production supervisors & operators during the assigned shift.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety.
- Monitor & improve production processes to meet quality, efficiency, and productivity targets.
- Work closely with the production planning team.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and any other relevant data.
- Work closely with the quality control team to uphold product quality and address any deviations.
- Implement and sustain 5S and lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of management skills & techniques.
- Proven track record of meeting production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
