Michael Page Logistics have partnered up with a rapidly growing Ecommerce & Retail distribution business in their search for a Warehouse Shift Manager in Bristol.

This role will play a critical part in this organisations expansion plans in helping to successfully deliver their growth across 2023/2024 and beyond.

Job Description

The Warehouse Shift Manager in Bristol will require the individual to:

  • Ensure the Health, Safety of all colleagues, in accordance with current legislation and Company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure deadlines are exceeded and meet all agreed relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and SLA's.

  • Support continuous improvement, leading and participating in working parties to involve and engage staff, with an aim to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Have full involvement in their implementation and success.

  • Ensure detailed records of how time is spent on tasks and analyse performance to create action plans to correct any under-performance.

  • Ensure correct daily staffing levels are sufficient to meet operational requirements.

  • Communicates to shift / team on daily tasks, changes to working procedures, H&S, Audit etc.

  • Updates team leaders on required targets / rates, and accuracy checks, providing training and feedback, taking action on poor performance where required.

  • Ensure there is an appropriate level of multi-skilled colleagues to perform tasks in an effective and efficient manner, completing training records to the required standard.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Applicant The successful candidate for the Warehouse Shift Manager position will have the below skills and experiences:

  • Manage a team of over 25+ employees within an Ecommerce or Retail Environment.

  • Good analytical and numerical skills.

  • The ability to maintain very high levels of accuracy in the processing and provision of management information

  • Well-developed communicator both verbal and written

  • Proactive, creative and highly organised.

  • 3+ years experience within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector - Ideally within Warehousing at a Supervisor, FLM, Shift Manager or Operations Manager level.

  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.

  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems.

  • Computer literate including MS Office packages.

  • Live within commutable distance to Bristol.
