RBG Kew’s Creative Services team works on design projects to help Kew’s 1.9 million visitors find out more, find their way around, and find out how they can help support Kew’s vital work for the future. There have been festivals and exhibitions to promote, international research projects to launch, members, supporters and funders to be kept informed. As Kew’s challenges and ambitions grow, so do the demands on Creative Services. That’s why we’re transforming our team, and the services we provide.

Our in-house design studio is responsible for maintaining Kew’s visual identity, championing high-quality design and providing creative solutions, advice and artwork on a huge variety of design projects.

Job description

The Digital Designer will help us deliver innovative, world-class design across the Kew website, social media, email and digital advertising channels. This role is pivotal in helping us engage a global audience and provides a unique opportunity to work across a huge range of projects bringing together our digital and non-digital look-and-feel to ensure one overall unique visual identity.

Person specification

Candidates will have expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud –Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AfterEffects, in addition to a broad range of skills including motion graphics, branding, typography, layout, illustration, retouching, designing for both print and digital formats, and familiarity with HTML & CSS and an understanding of UI/UX principles.
