Shift Manager, Humdinger Bromborough

We are based in Heckington (Sleaford) Bromborough (Formally Sun Valley Ltd) and Hull and we are part of the Zertus UK & Ireland Snacking & Chocolate Market Unit partnered with other food manufacturers across the country.
About the Shift Manager role
We have three new openings for Shift Managers to join our food manufacturing site in Bromborough (Sun Valley). Our Shift Managers are responsible for leading all aspects of processing and packing areas during their shift, as well as supporting the warehouse team outside of daytime hours. This is a key role in driving success for the site and you will work to ensure optimum efficiency, product quality, food and people safety and required productivity to meet both internal and external customers demand.
We're seeking engaging and inspiring leaders who can coach and guide their team to deliver excellent outcomes.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday week 1: 06:00 - 14:00, Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00, Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00
- Ensure the safety, legality and GMP standards of the shift.
- Support the ongoing improvement of performance, personnel and safety.
- Setting targets to meet and exceed KPI’s through engagement of the team and extensive use of CI tools and methodology.
- Planning and optimising labour to meet and exceed cost targets.
- Quality: control the operation and the products produced in through a Quality Assurance methodology. Ensure all product specifications and manufacturing procedures comply with GMP standards.
- Administration: Ensure all records of training are kept up to date, identifying skills gaps within the team and develop plans to close.
- Effective communication skills: Manage change in the workplace by gaining the confidence of workers through effective decision-making and communication.
- Organise and develop systems to maintain order and guide team members towards meeting Humdinger goals and objectives. Setting of objectives to ensure team members meet their goals and Humdinger site objective through the company PDR process.
- Safety: Identify areas of non-compliance to improve the site Safety performance.
- Build and effective & collaborative working relationship with your peers for a unified improvement plan.
- Strong Leadership & People skills
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office suite & company based software
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (Desirable, however, substantial experience will also be considered
- Substantial experience in the Food industry at Management/Leadership level
- Food Safety Level 3
- Competent in the use of Lean & CI Tools
