The Job

We are recruiting for engineering team leaders/senior engineers to work in a busy automated environment, working for a global organisation in an exciting growth phase. To work in a brand new automated fulfilment centre

You will be working on a panama shift basis (12 hour days and nights) responsible for overseeing a team of 6-8 shift engineers, reporting to the site maintenance manager. You will need to have a flexible approach to engineering from the customer facing problems, to getting stuck in and helping on large breakdowns when needed.

Due to the development within the industry and the organisation, there is a potential for progression into a more senior role.

This role is a great chance to get involved with some of the testing/commissioning phases before the facility goes live. You will also be responsible for the interviewing/hiring on maintenance technicians.

The Environment

Inside the clean distribution environment is a variety of MHE, consisting of packaging and conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.

There have been state of the art machinery upgrades/installs including Geek Robotic/AGV systems. New conveyors and ASRS Systems.

The company are investing over £1,000,000 per week in different automation projects across their facilities including new sites, extensions and automation upgrades,

The Basics;

• Salary of £51,000
• Site is located in South Elmsall
• Days and nights shift pattern (12 hour shifts)

YOU:

• Multi-skilled engineering background with experience working in an automated environment
• BTEC or equivalent in Engineering / 3 year apprenticeship
• Experience of automated materials handling equipment
• Ability to work in time critical environment
• Strong leadership skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and good work ethic.
