YOUR ROLE
Our Operation in Swindon is looking for an experienced Shift and System Controller, who will ensure efficient and safe warehousing and distribution activity operation.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for a team of up to 10 direct reports ensuring work is allocated effectively to meet operational targets, KPI and SLA. You will maximize the use of appropriate systems and resources to fulfill customer orders and ensure all key performance indicator targets are met in line with budgeted costs.
You will build excellent working relationships with the customer and internal stakeholders and ensure all customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standard. You will take responsibility for ensuring colleagues are trained within the operation to cover any sickness, absence, and holiday whilst maintaining operational excellence. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement to cost, service, and projects across the site.
The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday and a flexible approach to working hours is needed. The shift will cover start times between 05:30 to 22:30 – 8.5 hours shift.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have a similar experience within a warehouse or logistics environment. You will have experience in managing a team. You will be able to use WMS and will be IT literate. You will be self-motivated and be able to work on your initiative and have good attention to detail. You will be familiar with the LEAN processes and Kaizen knowledge is desirable.
