Job description
South Essex College are looking to recruit a Technician who holds a minimum of a L3 Technical Qualification to work within our Construction and Building Services department.
This is an exciting term time position and is suitable for someone who is looking to start a career in education.
The ideal candidate will have experience of operating and maintaining equipment, knowledge and experience of complying with and advising on health and safety legislation, policy and procedures and experience of stock control is essential.
Requirements:
- Competent technically in the field and hold a minimum of a L3 technical qualification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart knowledge effectively in supporting lecturers
- Good organisation skills, able to prioritise
- To be self-motivated and willing to work alone
- We are looking for someone preferable with a plumbing qualification and experience – should be able to organise workshop and stores etc.
