Products sold in more than 100 countries include microbiological safety cabinets, lab incubators and ovens, CO2 incubators, fume cupboards, ductless fume cabinets, laminar flow cabinets, ultra-low temperature freezers, hospital pharmacy isolators, containment/pharma products, PCR cabinets, thermal cyclers, animal containment workstations, ART equipment and powder weighing balance enclosures. We direct highly efficient research, product development, manufacturing, and customer service program.

We are looking for an Assembly/Service Technician to join our production team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Able to read equipment writing and piping schematics
• Able to interpret equipment layout 2D drawings
• Able to use test equipment for measuring and calibration
• Able to effectively supervise and direct external contractors during the installation
• Experience in reading technical drawing
• Fault finding of electrical panels, circuitry, pneumatics,
• Knowledge of testing, flow, pressure, calibration, and equipment operation

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work at all times in a manner which gives the highest consideration to safety, as defined by local regulations and Company procedures, this includes the use of PPE;
• Perform project assembly and test work on equipment and systems in accordance with applicable regulatory standards and to cGMP and GAMP guidelines for the pharmaceutical and other related industries.
• Liaise with the Project Engineering function to ensure the effective interpretation of project requirements, communication, timing, testing, and completion;
• Understand requirements for Aseptic and Non-Aseptic Isolator Systems and their construction in order to maintain and hold pressure, airflow, and functionality suitable for its application;
• Interpret and mark-up as required GA, P&ID’s and detailed manufacturing drawings to required standards. Understand the mechanical hardware specification and Functional Design Specification for a client project. Utilize project support documents during equipment and system assembly & test, including Traceability Matrices, Engineering Design Calculations, Bills of Materials, Test and Validation Protocols, Operating, Maintenance and Safety Manuals and work instructions for production and contractor functions;
• Capable of troubleshooting complex process systems, fans, pumps, control valves, instrumentation, electrical and control systems, including systems with PLC control and HMI’s;
• Provide assembly support for process equipment in the Esco factory, ensuring the highest levels of quality;
• Independently lead Factory Acceptance, installation, Site Acceptance and client training activities understanding validation requirements in completing the paperwork;
• Perform service on equipment at client sites and generate service reports;
• After sales support including spare part requests, warranty claims, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance visits.
• Stock management, ensuring common items are stocked vs sales & assembly trends / needs.
• Operating the company Fork lift as and when required, once certified. (training will be delivered by the Company)

• Full UK driving license preferred
• Overtime work may be required
• Some overseas travel may be required
• Some travel/overnight trips may be required
• Some weekend work may be required from time to time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
