The Role
The main purpose of a Vospers Panel Beater is to carry out repairs to customer vehicles in a professional, efficient and safe manner, ensuring the highest standard of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- Remove all parts and panels in accordance with the estimate.
- Ensure all new parts that are required have been ordered, reconciled and authorised by a Supervisor or Management.
- Store all removed parts in line with department safety requirements.
- Report any items found to be damaged to the Estimator or Controller.
- Carry out rust protection to repairs to maintain the manufacturers corrosion warranty.
- Carry out welding and plastic welding techniques in accordance with Thatcham, Insurance Company guidelines, manufacturer methodologies or Company standards.
- Advise the Supervisor and/or reception once the work has been completed, ensuring relevant information is required.
- Train and advise apprentices or colleagues when required.
- Maintain work bay, tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition in accordance with departmental standards.
