We are currently seeking an experienced Services Manager to be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, innovative services. In this key role you will demonstrate your strong significant knowledge within mental health services and apply this to meet the needs and aspirations of our service users, commissioners and regulatory authorities.
Our supported living schemes support adults with enduring mental health needs, we specialise in person centered support in order to provide excellent quality services for our residents. Individuals are supported to undertake activities of their choice, to maintain their independence and seek opportunities for a fulfilled and meaningful quality of life.
You would participate in the department on-call duty rota for Directorate services.
Job Requirements:
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the management of the service in order to meet the needs and aspirations of service users, commissioners and regulatory authorities and develop a reputation for Estuary for excellent delivery of distinctive services
- To positively contribute to the directorates business plan and corporate objectives and to facilitate the active participation of Support Assistants in achieving objectives
- Develop, maintain and work in partnership with a network of key stakeholders in order to deliver safe, high-quality services
- To identify recommend and implement improvements to the service given CQC and commissioning requirements, best practice and business plan priorities to achieve distinct, high quality service provision.
- To be responsible for the recruitment, development and management of staff in order to provide them with the skills, experience and behaviours necessary to provide a safe, high-quality services
- Through effective people management, develop a high performing team
- Manage budgets and funding streams to ensure the delivery of cost-effective services
- Develop and manage support services that meet the needs and aspirations of service users
- To contribute to the development of policy and procedure and to be accountable for the operational implementation of those policies and legislation that governs them
- All Managers and Supervisors must be aware of their relevant legal and organisational duties and responsibilities in relation to the health, safety and wellbeing for themselves and those members of staff under their supervision, including non- employees who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
What we’re looking for:
- An experienced manager in the care service sector
- You will have specifically worked with people with mental health needs to lead a independent, safe and happy life.
- You’ll have a strong track record in leadership & management, and good knowledge of the challenges that face people with mental health needs.
- Someone that can step into the role and make it their own
- Candidates must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings
- Be able to participate in the on-call rota
