The Role
Rygor are looking for an experienced and dedicated VMU Service Manager, who has a passion for setting the standard for their customer.
The key purpose of the role is to independently manage and develop a customer-oriented and profitable workshop and parts business, by delivering company and site financial objectives.
Day to day, you will be:
- Optimally utilising the market to produce a high level of customer satisfaction and high yields for the department.
- Planning, controlling, and monitoring processes in customer services areas.
- Managing, coaching, and developing your team.
- Planning and controlling your workforce resource availability to meet your customer’s fleet demands.
- Ensuring planning for facilities, bays, machines, tools, diagnosis installations, etc. are carried out correctly, optimal design of workplaces and processes.
- Regularly reviewing prices for workshop services and after prior agreement with Rygor management, adapt them to suit the market.
- Controlling cost management.
- Developing and building professional and effective working relationships with transport teams and regional engineers.
- Ensuring all required technical test equipment and tools are available and ready for use.
- Guaranteeing cleanliness and orderliness of workshops.
- Daily monitoring or compliance to conform with O-License to ensure the customer is safe, legal, and compliant.
It is important that you can ensure they fulfil their contract obligation to their customer, delivering on all hard KPIs as follows:
- Compliance management and planning.
- VOR performance to meet our customer’s contract obligation or a minimum of 95% fleet availability.
- MOT FTPR performance to a minimum acceptance level of 98%.
On Offer
Basic £45,000 on target earnings of up to £55,000 on offer along with excellent management benefits. Company van and fuel card.

About You
Rygor are looking for a manager who can develop and support the team and will instil Rygor’s values into everything they do. You will have strong leadership skills to inspire those around you to achieve and be the best they can be, You’re driven to succeed and achieve your targets and those you manage, you want to add value and be recognised for what you bring to the team.
You will ideally possess industry qualifications to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering.- You will have previously worked within a workshop environment.
