Service Manager – Full time – Glasgow

The Role
As the Service Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of a number of services across Glasgow. Working closely with the Service Locality Manager you will lead and monitor the work of your team supporting individuals ensuring the services provided adhere at all times to Real Life Options’ values, Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements as well as acting as a role model for the staff team.
Staff management will involve robust rota management, providing regular supervision through Real Life Options Performance Management framework, providing monthly probation meetings with new staff, ensuring all staff are compliant in mandatory training, monitoring attendance and absence levels across the area and ensuring monthly team meetings take place.
You will offer support to individuals by being involved with the assessment of service users and potential service users, implementing support and personal care plans as appropriate as well as liaising with families, social workers and other professionals on behalf of the service user. You will be responsible for ensuring that each person we support has regular review meetings with the multi-disciplinary team (6 monthly and yearly) and that monthly Keyworker meetings are held.
You will ensure that each service within Glasgow are compliant in all Health and Safety requirements and evidence this through weekly EPIC recordings and ensuring monthly Health and Safety audits are completed.
You will be passionate about ensuring excellence across all services and that each team shares this vision and strives to achieve this. You will be able to help evidence this through ensuring the service Outcome Assessment Tool and Service Improvement Plan are live working documents.
You will be pivotal in ensuring that our Person Centred Support and Enablement model is embedded throughout your services.
You will have financial responsibility by reporting any issues relating to the financial management of the service, ensure appropriate financial records are maintained including preparing and reporting monthly financial information.
You will have:
S/NVQ Level 4 (in both management and care) or equivalent
Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience within a relevant care setting
A track record of working within services for people with learning disabilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Leadership qualities
IT literate
Ability to lead and motivate a team and provide a clear sense of direction
Person centred planning
