Job description

Under general supervision of the President, this position is responsible for the management and support of Territorial Fuel Sales, with operations throughout Northern and Western Canada, based in Yellowknife NT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures adherence to and enforcement of policies and procedures as established by Company management.
2. Responsible for management of the day-to-day activities based upon established standards, government regulations and time frames.
3. Operational ordering of bulk and drummed fuel for TFS location and customers
4. Maintain fuel inventory/schedule (bulk and drummed)
5. Maintain bulk tank inspection schedule
6. Oversee training of fuel truck delivery operations
7. Oversee vehicle maintenance schedule
8. Superior customer service skills. Must maintain a positive attitude towards customers and staff within a fast-paced work environment.
9. Fueling aircraft as needed
10. Calculating weight & balance of aircraft with oversight by Pilot in Command.
11. Effective communication with customers, peers, management, and various group of companies.
12. Driving forklift, and fuel truck as needed.
13. Quality control and safe management of fuel delivery, handling and storage, and general airport farm operations.
14. Ability to problem solve and make a positive contribution to overall Company operations.
15. Determine staff requirements and development by assisting in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
16. Oversee and carry out employee performance reviews as scheduled and work to identify staff training needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be willing and have the ability to acknowledge and understand the following:
a. Fuelling and Spill Procedures
b. Dangerous Goods, for Fuelling, Service Truck Operator and Fuelling Rotorcraft
c. Forklift Operator Certification, Safety Management System and Occupational Safety and Health Manuals
d. Emergency Response Manual
e. Knowledge of Airport and remote operations an asset
f. Logistics background/experience an asset
g. Aviation knowledge/experience an asset
2. Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal skills that strengthen inter-company communications and relations
3. Computer skills are required
4. Self-motivated and able to work within given timelines.
5. Effective leadership skills an asset
6. Able to resolve conflicts positively and productively (customer and co-worker)
7. Organizational skills imperative, including specific monthly scheduling and reporting
8. Willing to work on modified schedule, including early mornings, late nights, and holidays
9. Physically fit, able to safely undertake physically demanding tasks
10. Valid Driver’s License required
11. Must be able to work long hours within a work environment that requires significant flexibility and a minimum 40-hour work week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
