Cawingredients manufacture and supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK markets. We are looking to recruit an additional Technical Process Assistant to join our fast moving, dynamic growing business.

Following an initial training period of 2-3 weeks, the Technical Process Assistant role will involve working an annualised 12-hour shift pattern on a '4 on 4 off' basis.
Examples of some of the duties required from the successful applicant:
· Performing analytical testing of product using equipment such as HPLC's, auto-titrators, spectrophotometers etc to ensure that product adheres to strict specifications.
· Performing checks and calibrations on equipment used.
· Regular testing of the on-site water treatment and effluent plants.
· Liaising with internal departments to ensure production requirements are met and quality levels are achieved.
· Ensuring all documentation is completed to a high standard.
· Working alongside production and quality teams to assist in problem solving and implementation of corrective actions.
The above list is not exhaustive, and the role will continue to develop in line with the departmental needs.
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following skills, however onsite training can be provided for the right candidate:
· Has good attention to detail.
· Has experience in working in a laboratory environment with a range of analytical equipment.
. Has previously worked in a Quality role or has experience performing QC checks
· Previously worked in the food industry.
· Received food hygiene / HACCP training.
· Able to problem solve / take the initiative.
· Happy to work unsupervised.
· Ability to efficiently organise workload.
· Good communication skills.
· Knowledge of Word and Excel.
The starting salary for this position is £25,000 . Individual performance and development within the role will be closely monitored over the first 2 years of employment. Individuals will be formally reviewed every 6 months, with salary increasing based on continuous development.
