The role
Joining the Senior Management Team, you will lead our internationally recognised Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment Services across Sussex. Assessed as a Centre of Excellence, and with above national average success rates, our employment specialists work alongside colleagues in Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s mental health clinical teams and the DWP to deliver integrated services; as well as overseeing our highly regarded Brighton and Hove Recovery College, offering educational courses as a route to recovery from mental health challenges.
You will also be supporting Southdown’s contribution to the transformation of community Mental Health services across Sussex, helping the NHS deliver improved support to deliver the NHS Long-term Plan for Mental Health.
What you will bring
We are looking for someone who shares our values, with an ability to lead and inspire teams, build strong collaborative relationships and maintain high performance and quality standards in the delivery of our commissioned mental health employment and learning contracts.
You will either have existing managerial skills and experience gained in the supported employment, work advice or mental health sectors, or able to demonstrate the ability to transfer existing talents to meet the specific requirements of this role, in particular, putting into practice the evidence based IPS fidelity model.
You will be adept at monitoring contracts and services with complex performance measures and driving improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
