Systemwash UK Ltd are based on the main A614 between Howden and Goole have been a limited company since 1996.
Our primary business is the manufacture, sales and service of high-pressure washing equipment sales and service and operate a specialist vehicle washing system supplying local authorities, Police and Ambulance services and other transport companies which accounts for up to 70% of this vacancy. This entails, loading your vehicle, delivering chemicals, mixing chemicals on site, servicing static cold-water pressure washing equipment etc, some experience of field service work would be an advantage.
The vacancy is based in Howden, East Yorkshire. It will be your responsibility to get to and from our site in Howden, so a reliable means of transport is essential unless you live very local, the vacancy benefits from free secure parking for one vehicle.
The applicant must have a good selection of hand tools and must be prepared to purchase additional hand tools to complete the job, however specialist tools are supplied if required.
The applicant must be polite and well-mannered and because of the nature of the work must be of good character as many of the deliveries are to Police in security areas and the applicant may need to be vetted by the Police Vetting Unit for security reasons.
The applicant must be confident and able to drive a 3.5 tonne gross long wheel base panel van, a full UK driving licence is essential, speeding points and minor offences should not be a problem, you would need the ability to use a vehicle navigation system, this job involves around 20K miles per annum.
The successful employee will need to gain an FLT Licence if not already held, Systemwash would pay for that once the probation period is complete.
We operate a strict no smoking policy on our site and in our vehicles as do all our customers and clients.

The following is a guideline and in-house training on specific products is continuous, but the right applicant will have to show a good aptitude to practical duties and must have some experience in both Electrical and Mechanical skills.
To repair, service, assemble and install high pressure washing equipment to various sites which involves some heavy lifting, the use of power tools, good communicational skills, a good level of common sense and practical ability.
To carry out chemical deliveries to emergency support services which involves strict discipline in secure areas.
To mix chemicals, service, repair and test equipment on site. To record activities, admin of associated paperwork.
The successful applicant must have the ability and aptitude for fault diagnosis and will have some electrical knowledge and some knowledge of basic plumbing and mechanics, however while qualifications would be advantageous, he or she does not require to be fully qualified in any of the above, the job has a 60 / 40 mechanical / electrical bias. The work can be dirty at times in conjunction with pressure washer repairs.
The applicant should be physically fit and from time to time there can be some medium heavy work. Systemwash will supply, tea shirts, hoodies, hi-vis jackets and any other safety equipment and PPE required. Once the 3-month probationary period has being successfully passed we will also supply good quality overalls and work boots.
Other duties can be varied and in keeping with workshop and warehouse maintenance practises, tidying the work area, etc, etc…

Hours: 40 per week 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday
Overtime is paid at the same hourly rate and while we do not regularly work overtime, it is expected from time to time, to satisfy the requirements of certain jobs
You would not be expected to stay away from home overnight.
Holidays: 20 days per annum plus 8 statuary holidays.
As a general guide the top line including commissions should be around 23K to start, rising to 27K, but it will depend on experience.
The aptitude to create sales and other add-on’s out in the field would be in addition and discussed at interview.
Stage two of Interviews will demand a short mechanical and Electrical practical test, this will also involve the candidates using a small selection of hand tools, more information would be given at that stage.
