Job title: Service Desk Manager
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE
Location: East Sussex
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri on-site
Please note this role requires the successful candidate to be on-site in East Sussex. As such, only candidates who are local to the area or able to relocate will be considered.
As a Support Desk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the support desk team, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of customer inquiries and issues. Motivating and managing a team of support desk technicians will be key, as you set performance goals and monitor progress towards achieving them.
Your expertise in developing and implementing process improvements will enhance the efficiency of the support desk. Reporting on key performance metrics, such as resolution time and customer satisfaction, will be a crucial aspect of your role. Collaborating closely with other IT team members, you will identify and address technical issues to deliver seamless support.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in managing support desks or customer service teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your technical acumen will allow you to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. This role could suit a strong 2nd or 3rd Line Engineer with Team Lead experience looking to make the step up into a full time support management role; or an established Service Desk Manager with ambitions to manage an established team within a fantastic organisation.

This role is exclusively office-based in East Sussex. As the Support Desk Manager, you will report directly to the Technical Manager.
