Service Desk Analyst
Location: Northallerton HQ
Salary: Scale 5-6 £25758 - £30375
Contract: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week
Key Duties
To provide application support to teams across the North Yorkshire Police (NYP), North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services (NYFRS) and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC).
You will work in a team of Service Desk Analysts to offer an effective and efficient service through incident management and request fulfilment to support our front-line services in protecting the public whilst assisting Police Officers and Fire Fighters in performing their critical duties
You will be a specialist in providing technical support to a wide team, resolving issues and providing solutions relating to ICT equipment, infrastructure and applications.
You will play a vital role in contributing to the wider ICT department, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiencies, whilst taking ownership of problems driving them through to resolution.

Where are we?
Northallerton is the market town of North Yorkshire and has an abundance of cafes and eateries along its historical, but modernised high street. The town is easily accessed by the two main roads going north to south – A19 and A1 – or by public transport.
By train:
- Trains from Middlesbrough run about every 20 / 30 minutes, take approx. 30 minutes and cost approx. £12 / 14 return (Anytime)
- Trains from York run between every 5 / 30 minutes, take approx. 28 minutes and cost approx. £22 / 25 return (Anytime)
- Trains from Leeds are about every 10 / 15 minutes, take approx. 50 minutes and cost approx. £35 / 45 return (Anytime)
All whilst using 70% less CO2 than by car
By Car:
- Northallerton is about 7 miles from the A1 Leeming Bar junction or 13 miles from the A19 / A168 Thirsk junction.
- Darlington and Ripon are only a mere 13 miles and takes approx. 30 minutes
- Harrogate is only about 30 miles and will take about 50 minutes
- Park your car for £4 per day or £24 per month right next to the office
All whilst driving along a stretches of road taking in rural settings, away from motorways, towns and cities.
