Job Description:
As the Service Desk Lead you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire IT infrastructure and operations within our client's organization. In this full-time, office-based position in Oswestry, you will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals and ensuring the smooth functioning of all IT systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and security
- Monitor and ensure the availability and performance of all IT systems, resolving any issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for system improvements
Requirements:
- Strong technical background in IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
