As part of our services, we are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Desk Lead on behalf of our client to join their team.

Job Description:

As the Service Desk Lead you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire IT infrastructure and operations within our client's organization. In this full-time, office-based position in Oswestry, you will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals and ensuring the smooth functioning of all IT systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and security
  • Monitor and ensure the availability and performance of all IT systems, resolving any issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for system improvements

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background in IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of security protocols and data protection regulations
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
