VKL Healthcare
Full Time Borehamwood, England 18441 - 12.04 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

This is a flexible role offering between 22.5 hours and 37.5 hours worked within our office hours of 9am to 8pm, worked flexibly. The applicant must have light vehicle maintenance experience, ideally a certificate in this, and be able to drive.

This role comes with on call responsibilities (taking calls and coordinating shifts overnight and at the weekend). The contractual requirement will be for 1 weekday night a week, and one weekend a calendar month. On call responsibilities are worked from home.

VKL Healthcare specialises in the mental health sector. We currently have two divisions: Agency, and Patient Transport. The successful applicant will join an existing team of coordinators that work different shifts across the day, and will report directly to the operations manager. The primary responsibility of the coordinator is to book appropriate staff for ward shifts as required, and arrange the safe transfer of patients on request.

There is a requirement for coordinators to understand the work of our ambulance crews, so any post holder will be expected to train as an ambulance care assistant with a view to working on ambulance crews as part of their training. Full training will be provided.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, have a good customer services approach, be able to build relationships quickly, have a keen eye for detail and be able to thrive under pressure. To be successful in this role, applicants must also be able to problem solve and think creatively, be able to learn relevant legislation and guidance and apply this. Applicants should also be comfortable with using IT and multiple software packages simultaneously.

We are looking for a motivated self starter that is able to operate under pressure and also has the initiative and drive to help us reignite our agency division through relationship building and an excellent customer service approach.
