Job description

CompanyNet is a leading UK Microsoft Gold Partner and now a part of the Core Technology Systems group of companies. At the moment we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Manager to join our project delivery team.

You will be delivering solutions, developed on the Microsoft platform (SharePoint / Power Platform and Azure), on time and on budget. You will be a key contributor to the continued growth of an Edinburgh-based Microsoft Gold Partner, delivering M365 and Azure solutions for business and Public Sector clients.

What we offer…

  • Full-time position to start as soon as possible.
  • Flexible&remote working environment.
  • Full support from the whole Team throughout your tenure .
  • Appropriate, modern technology to support the fulfilment of your role.
  • Significant focus on Training&Development.
  • 21 paid Holidays per Employee Calendar Year (Excluding Bank Holidays).
  • Death In Service Benefit where the Insurance Provider pays 3 times employee's salary to your beneficiary selected in the event of death.

About You

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience project managing IT Service Delivery / Software Development projects – Ideally including Information Regulation or Records Management solutions and almost certainly involving Data or System migrations.
  • Be commercially-focussed, with a proven ability to track and manage projects via delivery milestones to timescale and budget.
  • Extensive familiarity with M365 product set – Tenant Admin and Security, SharePoint, Power Platform (Automate, BI, Apps) Dataverse, Azure Solutions.
  • Be able to provide control, influence, impact – demonstrating a positive, solution-finding attitude with awareness of the business impacts of technical decisions.
  • You will naturally form strong, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, colleagues and partners. And you will be able to co-ordinate, motivate and inspire others to deliver to your own high quality standards.
  • Have strong reporting and analytical skills. But beyond this, crucially, you will take a proactive stance on anticipating project issues and risks before they arise, taking swift and appropriate pre-emptive action.
  • Outcome-focussed, organised, and methodical – with the ability to manage multiple projects you will have an innate and instinctive ability to keep your finger on the pulse of the projects you manage, delivering within agreed project constraints whilst developing positive client relationships.
  • Have strong people skills, be a confident negotiator and an articulate communicator – both verbally and in your written documentation. You should be equally comfortable talking to our development teams on a technical level as you are communicating with clients on a business. You will be able to seamlessly transition between the two, helping to interpret business requirements into technical delivery, and technical issues into business impacts.
  • Have an inherent business sense, able to understand how different businesses operate. From SMEs to large corporations and across the public sector, be able to empathise with customers’ business drivers, perspectives and needs – and translate these into effective project deliverables.
  • Have detailed knowledge and experience of implementing software development methodologies.
  • Have detailed knowledge of project methodologies, particularly PRINCE2 or more agile methodologies. PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification or agile equivalent preferred, though demonstrable project delivery experience with similar / equivalent qualifications will be considered.
