Nissan Hastings is part of SLM Group which started as a family company and has grown to include sites across East Sussex, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and motivated to join our Service team as a Service Advisor. The role involves guiding the customer throughout their aftersales journey, from booking in their vehicle to liaising with them until their vehicle is ready to collect.

Our Service Advisors work alongside our busy workshop team who carry out vehicle services, MOTs and repairs, to ensure that the customer receives excellent customer service throughout.

SLM Nissan Hastings will soon incorporate a Bosch Car Service as well as continuing as a busy Nissan brand Authorised Repairer. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, experienced, and ready to make an impact from their first day!

The ideal candidate will be motivated with excellent interpersonal skills to achieve 100% customer satisfaction, and have previous experience in the motor trade.

Key Job Areas of the Service Advisor role:

• Agree the details of the work to be carried out with the customer
• Builds rapport and qualifies the customer’s requirements
• Liaises with the workshop to deliver agreed jobs set
• Updates the customer throughout the process, and ensures customer satisfaction on completion
• Works as a full member of the dealership team

• Excellent customer service/people skills, delivering skills to high standards
• Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent telephone manner
• Flexible ‘can do’ approach
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision
