Job description

Menzies Distribution are currently looking for an enthusiastic customer service professional to join our team in Normanton. Whereby you’ll be supporting the customer service team acting as the liaison between the customer and the warehouse and Transport. As well as acting as the first point of contact for the customer and resolves any problems or concerns with the receiving and storing, moving and distribution of supplies, stock and materials to and/or from the warehouse


Customer Service Advisor duties:

  • Engage with depots and external contractors to retrieve proof of delivery in a timely manne
  • Ensuring that customer requirements are administered in a timely controlled and recorded manner
  • Answer and responding to all incoming queries in a prompt and polite manner
  • Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation
  • Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the transport department
  • Collation of accurate data

Customer Service Administrator requirements:

  • Good communication skills are essential with the ability to express empathy with customers
  • Excellent written and verbal skills are essential
  • Experience resolving disputes in a fair and calm manner and be able to identify issues, which could potentially become problematic and avoid situations arising
  • Good ‘people skills’ for working with a range of colleagues and customers
  • A professional manner
