A fantastic opportunity for a Serious Youth Violence Practitioner has arisen within our Exploitation and Youth Justice Service!
As part of Slough Children First’s (SCF) improvement journey, we recognise we have a commitment to build on our delivery of services to children at risk of exploitation.
We’ve therefore developed a team which provides a wraparound intervention with other partners to support and safeguard children, and address extra familial harm in all its forms.
Our Serious Youth Violence Practitioners will manage a caseload of children and work directly with those children and their families, supporting group intervention programmes and activities that promote resilience and diversion.
As one of our Serious Youth Violence Practitioners, you’ll have proven experience of working with children and their families, as well as the knowledge of the risk and protective factors related to children who are at the risk of being exposed to extra familial harm.
If you’re looking for a new challenge and want to be part of an exciting journey to turn children’s services around in Slough then come and join us. In return, we can offer you:
- training and development opportunities
- agile working supported by technology
- flexible working policies
- friendly working environment and great colleagues.
Slough is one of the most diverse places in the country outside of London and a great place to live or work. In fact it's the best place to live or work according to a survey by Glassdoor. Pleasant environments, above average salaries and a lower cost of living, mean an increased quality of life for employees. We're also one of the most accessible places to be, nestled on the corner of the M25, M4 and M40, and less than 20 minutes by train to Central London.
