Position
The Grocer is looking for an SEO Editor to manage the day-to-day operations of thegrocer.co.uk and our wider digital output on a temporary basis. The role will be based out of our Crawley office (hybrid) but we can also consider fully remote working if required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO best practices and be able to apply those principles in a fast-paced digital publishing setting.
Requirements
The SEO Editor will be responsible for:
- Assisting in implementing keyword and headline best practice, while communicating practices to the team.
- Looking for new content opportunities, from monitoring keyword gaps, spotting emerging trends, seasonal opportunities, and innovative takes on what’s trending on the web, news and social platforms.
- Providing feedback on, optimising, and occasionally uploading the team’s content, capitalising on structure, links, imagery, captions and headlines
- Working directly in our CMS updating content, meta titles and descriptions, URLs, optimising internal linking, creating aggregated content pages, etc.
- Using reports and analytics to investigate performance and communicate wins and learnings.
- Assisting the digital and social team in staying on top of the industry, algorithms and testing out new product features.
Other information
We have offices in Gatwick and London, UK; Montpellier, France; Singapore and Chicago, US. In line with the Company’s current Agile Working Policy, the successful candidate would be eligible to work either fully remotely, or part of the week from our Crawley office and to work remotely for the rest of the week.
