We’re looking for an SEO Content Lead to join our growing Performance Marketing team and own the production of all of our SEO-focused content. As our investment in marketing and our customer base grows, we want to continue to scale our existing output of SEO-focused content, while exploring new opportunities for traffic and revenue driving content.
You’ll be working alongside our in-house marketing team, an external SEO agency, and supported by our Director of Performance marketing to scale the output of our SEO content and guide our strategy. You’ll be trusted and empowered from day 1 to deliver against ambitious content, traffic and revenue targets, for which we believe SEO content will play a crucial role.
What you’ll do:
Work with our agency to ideate new content streams, scope out their delivery, prioritise based on potential impact and resources and turn into tangible project briefs.
Own the day-to-day production of this content, being able to both produce content yourself and identify, onboard, brief and manage freelance content writers to produce it.
Refine our content production processes over time, understanding where resource efficiencies can be gained without sacrificing quality.
Ensure Flash Pack’s tone of voice is evident throughout any of this content, editing freelance writers’ work to ensure the balance between editorial quality and technical requirements.
Lead by both our agency’s audits and your own research, identify opportunities for optimising existing content across the site and our online magazine, SOLO.
Own the deployment process of any new site content, ranging from landing pages to content hubs and SOLO articles, ensuring they’re optimised from an SEO standpoint.
Champion our SEO content strategy internally, providing regular project progress updates that relate to the marketing team’s longer term vision.
Alongside agency reports, use data to provide insights and update on the success of our content strategy, informing the pace of investment in this channel.
The ideal candidate:
Experienced content writer with demonstrable writing and editorial ability.
Ability to demonstrate a clear passion for the SEO landscape including an understanding of the direction SEO content is heading in
Strong working knowledge of SEO best practices, especially with regards to content production; we’re looking for someone eager to expand their SEO knowledge and so don’t need to be a technical SEO expert just yet!
Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to run with a challenge but ask for help when needed. Experience working in an environment where autonomy is central to your role is crucial.
Able to demonstrate an ability to manage robust, scalable, end-to-end written content production. This isn’t just about a few articles; we’re looking to build the solo-travel resource for this generation.
Has sourced, briefed, managed and edited the work of freelance content writers.
Competence knowing which metrics and data sources are valuable in determining content success, in the short and long terms, and the ability to maipulate datasets in Excel/Sheets.
Experience with analytics and SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Datastudio, SEMRush and Screaming Frog.

Experience working with Wordpress as a CMS.

What else?
The salary range for this role is between £38,400 - £43,300 depending on experience.
We also offer stock options after your first year with the company so your total compensation will be considerably more depending on the package you accept.
We have trailblazer total pay transparency and ask you to choose your total compensation plan by balancing salary and options to suit your personal financial goals.
The team: We have a talented marketing team comprising creatives and performance mraketers, supported by agencies, content creators and contractors, as well as a Director of Performance Marketing who is actively growing the team.
Location: We call our way of working ‘remote-flexible’. You can work from anywhere in the UK as long as you are happy to come to London every 4-6 weeks or so. If you enjoy more regular face to face interaction, living close to London would be advantageous.

The interview process will be in 3 stages which will include meeting various members within the team and a case study!
