Job description
About Platform One
We've redefined Experience Management programs to drive continuous improvement. Our programs deliver real impact, enabling companies to make systemic change, rather than putting out spot fires. By taking a human-centered approach and combining it with a world-class platform that provides both breadth and depth of insight, our customers have all the tools at their fingertips to understand…..and act.
Our approach & philosophy is SwaS - Solutions with a Service, combining the latest technologies, market research methodologies with brilliant thinking to help deliver real business outcomes.
We work as a collection of distributed teams, with teams in Sydney, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Seattle, London, Paris, Cologne, Rome, Colombo and Lehi.
The role
The product team (itself distributed) has embarked on a modernization of the company’s proprietary software and is currently working to bring its suite of six products together into a single DIY platform, designed using the company’s newly launched design system.
This is a UK-based, remote-first job, with regular weekly meet-ups in London and as required.
You’ll join a friendly, fast-paced, agile working environment and will be tasked with supporting the Head of Design, as well as the wider product team, across all aspects of the product design process.
More of your time will be spent producing high-fidelity visuals, using the custom built design system, than researching user needs and UX, so you’ll need to have demonstrably strong UI skills. Having said that, you’ll need to be at least comfortable speaking to both users and stakeholders to understand user and business needs.
You’ll work across the entire product, working closely with development teams to ensure UI governance.
You’ll find designing complex, data-driven UIs, engaging and motivating.
Must-have skills & experience:
- A portfolio, with 3-4 case studies showcasing design skills
- 2-3 years experience in either an agency, or product team
- A Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, or a related field
- Exceptionally strong UI skills, with a particular emphasis on web-apps
- Experience working with a design system
- Expert-level in Figma, including prototyping
- Some research and UX skills
- Some experience of designing with data and data visualisation
- Proficient knowledge of responsive design and accessibility
- Self-motivating and autonomous, capable of personal accountability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions
Nice-to-have skills & experience:
- A good understanding of HTML, CSS, JS and component libraries
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment
- Experience working with data heavy systems, including dashboarding
- Experience designing complex, enterprise-level products with multiple user types
- A basic knowledge of data collection techniques like surveys
- Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment
- An adaptable design approach
- Some mobile app experience
- Experience working with Jira
