Job summary
In this exciting senior analysis post in the Equality Hub’s award-winning Data and Analysis Directorate (EDAD), you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other analytical professionals, to share skills, knowledge and resources. You will play a significant role in the development of new ways of working, including new data transformation projects that seek to improve our quantitative data capabilities, and opportunities to be involved with qualitative research projects.
Working closely with policy teams in the Equality Hub and across government, you will develop and produce insightful, policy-relevant analysis. Ministerial priorities include Levelling Up, implementing actions from Inclusive Britain and meeting the recommendations of the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities report.
You will collaborate with analysts across all Equality areas developing the Equality Data Programme which will extend analysis to the intersection of ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability and social mobility. In addition, you will assess and report on data quality issues such as missing data, potential biases, and other methodological issues both in the analysis and briefing we provide and in standalone Methods and Quality Reports.
The updating and redesign of the Ethnicity facts and figures website is a substantial programme of work that will use your data management, analytical and presentation skills. You will develop strong relationships with data suppliers and users to meet objectives efficiently, taking account of diverse customer needs.
